About AANA

The organization, formed in 1980, consists of like-minded individuals in North America who have their roots in Assam or have close ties with Assam. It provides a platform for the Assamese people of North America to exchange ideas and discuss matters of common interest. It fosters friendship between the people of Assam and North America and organizes events to promote the Assamese language, culture and heritage.
