Joi Barua (জয় বৰুৱা) - Assamese and Bollywood Singer and Music Composer

Joi Barua, popular Indian singer and songwriter from Assam. He is known for his contributions to the Assamese music industry besides known for playback singing in Bollywood and is widely regarded as one of the best musicians in the region. He is known for his soulful voice and melodious songs that have captivated audiences across the region. He is known for his signature style of fusion music that blends traditional Assamese elements with contemporary sounds. Barua has released several albums and has won several awards for his music. Some of his popular songs include "Din Jwole Rakhibo," "Manuhe Manuhor Babe," and "Buku Holi Jai". His notable playback singing for Hindi films include Dev.D, Udaan, Luv Ka The End, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In 2010, he recorded songs for Telugu film Kalavar King.

Bornali Kalita (বর্ণালী কলিতা)  - Assamese and Bollywood Playback Singer

Renowned singer Bornali Kalita first playback was for Assamese album Ki Rong Dila. In 1998, she sang for Assamese feature film Gun Gun Gane Gane. In 2002, she sang playback for Emaan Morom Kiyo Lage and Jibon Trishna, Dhou (2013), Jilmil Junak, Face and Morichika. Kalita sang for Bengali feature film Oi Dur Sagore and Kannada remake Satya in Love She also performed on various music projects. She sang thousands of songs for albums and TV Serials in various languages. She performed with Ismail Darbar in the 45th International Trade Fare 2008. In 2014 she completed 5000 songs, a record in Assam and the north-east.

Nahid Afrin (নাহিদ আফ্ৰিন)  - Assamese and Bollywood Playback Singer

Nahid Afrin is an Indian playback singer who made her debut in the 2016 Bollywood film Akira starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role. She first gained recognition as a singer as a participant in the 2015 edition of Indian Idol Junior. She was also seen in the reality show Little Champs North-East in 2013 where she was runner up. She also received her first National Award in the year 2013 in a Semi classical / classical singing contest called "Surtarang" which was held in Delhi. Nahid Afrin has also been appointed as the first 'Youth Advocate' of the northeastern region by UNICEF India to fight for child rights in December 2018. Nahid Afrin received the 8th Assam State Film award, 2023 known as the Pratima Pandey Award under the category of Best Playback singer ( female) for my song "Natun Ejaak" from the film "Nijanor Gaan". This award is the most prestigious award in the cultural field of Assam. Nahid Afrin honored with this award twice under the same category consecutively for two years now. As the hotel rooms in The Sheraton are almost sold out, the Host Committee has worked out additional limited room nights at a very attractive rate of $169/night (this includes breakfast) with The Element Hotel (a Marriott Property). The rooms are Studio style with 2 Queens and a full kitchen. The Sheraton and The Element are collocated in same premise and have a common parking. To get to The Sheraton from The Element, is a 1-2 minute walk across the parking lot. The Convention Area has a direct access from the Element parking lot.  If you still want to reserve at The Sheraton, there are couple rooms available on June 30 and 5-6 rooms available on July 1 and July 2, you can reserve them. After The Sheraton rooms are booked, on individual requests, the host committee will make requests for room availability, but that is not guaranteed.
